Primary Idols, 2021.
Inspired by the childhood element of learning the meaning of colours for the first time, this project is an invitation for the viewer to reflect on the simplicity of that theme and explore ideas of self through social structures.
Primary Idols features three murals created for the second, third and fourth floors of The Drake Hotel’s Modern Wing Extension. Primary colours of red, blue and yellow are symbolized by three women to visualize the importance of these colours and how they can create any colour available.
